This new drive slides easily into the Ultrabay 2000, ThinkPad Dock, UltraBase X2 media slice, and the IBM Portable Drive Bay 2000. The LS-240 drive is read/write backward compatible with 720 KB, 1.44 MB, and LS-120 media and delivers up to 20 times the performance (data transfer rate) of a standard 1.44 MB diskette drive.
