- The TerraTec T5 runs on Windows XP (from Service Pack 2) and Windows Vista (from Service Pack 1) as well as on Mac from Version OSX 10.4. Additionally, there are drivers for the Windows Media Center Edition (MCE) and active support in the Linux community (no TerraTec support).

<b>DVB-T: the coverage is constantly growing – free of course</b>
- The digital terrestrial DVB-T age has already begun for millions of viewers. Analogue terrestrial TV has been replaced by the new Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVB-T) standard in almost all population centres. The last gaps will be closed in the foreseeable future. Depending on the coverage area, around 24 channels from public, private and niche broadcasters will be available in digital quality. DVB-T will not result in additional costs for viewers in Germany, as it is being financed with regular TV license fees. In many cases, it can actually save viewers money by eliminating the need for a cable subscription. The transition has been ratified on a nationwide basis, and by 2010 the old analogue TV standard will have been replaced completely by the terrestrial TV of the future throughout Germany.
