The 3Com® Multisite Backup Tool runs in a Windows environment to automate the task of archiving NBX system configuration files. Administrators benefit from time-saving features, such as the ability to schedule backups of one or many NBX systems and to easily create a comprehensive backup schedule for each NBX location. Centralized reporting ensures that the status of the backup at each location is confirmed.
An ideal way to assure compliance with a formal disaster recovery process, the application compiles on a central PC server the files from separate locations. Scheduling is based on time, date, days of the week or days of the month. All the systems' licenses are also backed up, assuring 100% data availability if a full system restoration is needed. Triple redundancy ensures that valuable information is stored on the appropriate hard drive, backup FTP servers, data center server or even burned to a CD-ROM.
