MSR 50 Processor Module High-Performance Processor Module for the MSR 50 Series Multi-Service Router
The MSR 50 Series Processor Module is the high-performance routing engine for the MSR 50 Series. It provides protocol handling, packet forwarding, interface control and failure detection functions. Status monitoring information, such as fan operation, power supply and system health, is provided by LED indicators on the module.

The Processor Module features throughput of up to 600 kpps, embedded hardware encryption to ensure high performance security functionality, two built-in 10/100/1000 ports and four Smart Interface Card (SIC) slots for flexible and cost-effective connectivity for the LAN and WAN. Sufficient Flash and DRAM is included to enable support for all key functionality without costly and inconvenient memory upgrades. Compact Flash and USB ports provide additional flexibility and expandability.

The MSR 50 Router Processing Module is a required component (ordered separately) for any MSR 50-40 or 50-60.
