This upgrade enables DVMRP, Backup and Restore, automated configuration of aggregated links (LACP), and Access Control Lists.

- DVMRP enables routing of IP multicast streams for streaming video, remote learning and video conferencing applications
- Backup and restore functionality enables switch configurations to be captured and reapplied individually to a single switch or across a whole network at a push of a button
- LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol, 802.3ad) automatically configure multiple aggregated links between switches allowing additional inter-switch bandwidth and resiliency
- Access Control Lists enhance network security: filter and prioritize traffic on VLAN's, and limit access to certain segments of the network
