The 3Com® Switch S7903E Chassis Kit is a small chassis with all the capabilities and high availabity of the Switch S7900E family, supporting up to ten 10-Gigabit ports or 144 Gigabit and Fast Ethernet ports.
This kit includes the chassis and fan assembly; switch fabrics, power supplies and I/O modules are ordered separately. At least one fabric and one power supply are required for operation.

The Switch S7900E can be deployed in multiple network environments, such as the Enterprise LAN core, aggregation and wiring closet edge, as well as the convergence and edge of Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs).
This high-end modular chassis switch has a high-speed passive backplane, supports load sharing and redundant management and fabrics for high availability, and delivers wirespeed transfers at Layers 2 and 3 for IPv4 and IPv6.
