The compact 3M™ Fiber Optic Splice Closure 2178-XSB features a rugged closure tested under harsh, real-world conditions to stand up to even the most severe conditions of moisture, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
The compact size of the 2178-XSB closure makes it ideal for pedestal and hand hole splicing, particularly for FTTP applications. Specifically designed for butt splicing applications only, the closure has three cable entry ports (two 1.0” ports and one 1.4” port). The multiport grommet feature provides for simple, flexible and future-proof drop or small diameter branch cable additions. The maximum single fusion and mass fusion splice capacity for the 2178-XSB closure is 48 and 144, respectively. The fiber optic splice closure 2178-XSB is Rural Development (RUS) Listed.
