Adaptec 1225SA RAID Controller

PCI Express x1, 2-Port eSATA 3Gb/s supporting RAID 0, 1, and JBOD RAID Controller External Serial ATA (eSATA) provides the same performance and features for disk and tape drives outside the PC, that 3 Gb/s SATA provides for storage inside the PC – all with 5X faster performance than USB 2.0 or 1394 connectivity.

The Adaptec RAID 1225SA card is an eSATA, two-port, PCI Express x1 controller featuring Adaptec HostRAID™ - an integrated RAID technology that maximizes system performance and uptime. The Adaptec 1225SA supports up to two 3Gb/s Serial ATA drives, Native Command Queuing, and offers RAID levels 0, 1, and JBOD (individual drive). The Adaptec 48-bit logical block addressing (LBA) support enables use of disk drives exceeding 137 GB in capacity. The Adaptec 1225SA supports Windows® Vista, XP, 2003, as well as Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, NetWare and SLES.
