Used, genuine Apple service spare. Apple branded Panasonic (Matshita) UJ-85J slimline, slot loading multi DVD burner offers full 8X recording speeds on DVD±R Discs and the ability to record on DVD+R Double Layer and DVD-RAM formats, including DVD±RW and CD-R/RW. This drive is the replacement for UJ-845 & UJ-846 models.

Replacement brackets & cable may be required for earlier Titanium PowerBook models.
This drive is not suitable for the 13" MacBook or 15" MacBook Pro as these laptops use a thinner format drive (UJ-857/UJ-867/GSA-S10N). It is also not suitable for the Aluminium Intel iMacs as these machines require optical drives which grab the disk further out than this model (32mm rather than 22mm).
This drive can be used with OSX 10.2 or higher in conjunction with disk burning software such as Toast. Disk buring is directly supported within OSX 10.4 or later. There is no manual, software or mounting hardware included.
