Arkon's Mega Grip holder is not phone specific, though it works with nearly all phones including those that have protective cases or skins on them. SM421 is better suited as a mount for your phone's handsfree calling, or to keep your phone within close proximity. The lighter socket location is usually not ideal if using your phone with GPS
