Firewire 800 Cable with FireWire 400 Adapter

The Firewire Adapter Cable is designed to connect devices with Firewire 400 -(IEEE 1394) or Firewire 800 (IEEE 1394b) outlets with the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro (as of 2010) and provides fast transfer rates of up to 400 Mbit/s. The cable has on Firewire 400 and one Firewire 800 connector and is about 1.86 meters long. The cable makes it easy to connect hard drives, camcorders or older Macs, with older 400 outlets, to new Macs. With the help of the adapter piece, the cable can be configured to have two Firewire 800 plugs, making it possible to connect all new devices via Firewire. The Firewire 400/800 model is also build into computers from other manufactures, so that the Firewire cable is with all other computers that support these standards.
