They meet the requirements of IEC 60601-1 (3rd Edition) and IEC 60601-1-2 and prevent potential equalising currents and protect connected devices and their users from transient excess voltages which, through installation errors, lightning strikes, switching operations, electrostatic discharge, etc., have been coupled directly or inductively into the network. The medical grade network isolator EN-70e offers good Ethernet performance with low attenuation and return loss. The EN-70e works in both directions. An installation of drivers is not necessary and no power supply is required.
