Plancha stands for creative outdoor cooking on an enamelled cast-iron baking plate over gas burners. The tradition, which originated in the Basque Country, is extremely popular in southern Europe and is now conquering the rest of the world.
Unique in barbecook®'s planchas is the plug with which you can completely seal the baking plate. It allows for extra varied cooking, e.g. with broth or wine, and the preparation of delicious sauces which are collected in the cup. Another advantage is that it makes the plancha very easy to clean: plug in the plate, water on the still-hot baking plate, and the dirt comes off very easily. Tip: pour just as much water onto the baking plate as can be collected in the cup.
The barbecook® planchas are designed with your comfort in mind. The baking plates have upright edges to make cooking with moisture even easier. What is also practical is the small drip cup under the plug, with which you can collect cooking juices, sauces and wastewater. The adjustable feet keep your plancha in a stable position. The Ninho 2.0 also comes with a lid that can be used as a backsplash during cooking to protect your wall or table from splatters. The lid can afterwards be used to neatly store away the Ninho 2.0.
The Ninho 2.0 is equipped with an integrated piezo ignition system “Twist & Burn”. It allows you to start your BBQ with a simple twisting movement. Moreover, each burner has its own igniter. This allows you to light the burners separately and to divide the cooking surface into distinct sections.
