Because the connectors are prepolished, there's no need for polishing and epoxy during installation.\n\nAll connectors come with a fiber stub in the connector tip, which is cemented firmly in place. You'll get the strength of a bonded connection with no gluing or polishing. The stub is polished to a Physical Contact (PC) finish.\n\nThe connector housing is also designed to make matching up the fiber stub and cable easy. Insert a stripped and cleaved fiber cable in the connector, and when you feel little or no resistance, the fiber and stub are matched up correctly. Then just crimp!\n\nThe ST and FC Prepolished Fiber Connectors also feature a rotating cam that makes termination quick and smooth.\n\nWith the kit and connectors, you may also need our No-Adhesive Mechanical Splice package, which includes six twist-action splices.
