Designed for high-end multimedia applications, the HD View™ is a truly superior system for distributing VGA video and audio signals over CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 cable.

The HD View system consists of transmitters and receivers for delivery of single or multiple channels of high-def video and stereo audio to remote plasma/LCD screens, which makes them great for digital signage distribution.

The 16-port transmitter featured here communicates over CATx cable runs with HD View Receivers. For maximum distance, choose long-range receivers, which support distances up to 1000 feet (308.4 m). Standard-range receivers are also available for connections at distances up to 360 feet (109.7 m). In addition, we offer HD View NEC Integrated Receivers in both standard and long-range versions. These modular receivers install in an NEC screen’s expansion slot and offer all the features of our standalone models plus a VGA port to connect to a second display.

Out-of-band management frees the network of video multicasting, and because it supports RS-232 transmit/receive signaling, you can turn a screen on or off to save energy and maximize the life of your screens. No more walking from screen to screen to power down your displays.

The HD View system also includes a utility that provides you with a full view of your AV topology. Use it to name your devices and ports, and assign screens to groups. You can also use the utility to adjust video quality and RGB skew.

Plus the HD View system supports DDC, which gives you optimal player-to-screen configurations and can be read from the remote port. Using DDC, you can set your digital signage player resolution and refresh rate to the native resolution supported by the connected screen. HD View gets this information from the display, stores it on the transmitter, and emulates it to the player.

In addition, the system offers improved immunity to RFI interference and power surges.
