Split and extend HDMI video and audio from a single source input over ordinary CATx cable with the MediaCento™ HX 1 x 4 Transmitter.
Used with separately sold MediaCento HX Receivers, the transmitter enables a single HDMI digital video source to be displayed simultaneously on four different HDTV screens, such as in lobbies and other high-traffic areas of your organization.
Because it’s also a distribution amplifier, the MediaCento HX 1 x 4 Transmitter regenerates the HDMI signal for boosting video over a single solid CATx cable run. It extends Full HD (1080p) video signals as far as 130 feet (40 m) and 720p/1080i video up to 200 feet (60 m) over CATx*.
The transmitter provides pure, unaltered, and uncompressed 7.1-channel digital transmission of the HDMI signal. HDMI 1.3 compliant, the MediaCento HX supports single-link 225-MHz (6.75-Gbps) bandwidth for sharp full-motion rendering, synchronized video and audio with no perceivable delay, as well as Deep Color resolutions for enhanced color depth and refresh rates.

Because the extender can transmit over solid copper cabling already installed in your building, it's easy to put your HD screens in spaces where your target audiences frequent—and you don't have to pull new cables and/or sacrifice video quality in the process. It’s perfect for applications that require greater distance for high-quality video resolutions on HDTV and 3D displays.
Use it to extend HDMI from a newer consumer electronics device that provides uncompressed-only output. Because it supports HDCP communications, you can also extend content from a Blu-ray player or other protected-content source.
To monitor video locally, simply plug an HDMI display into the local HDMI output. Or use that port to cascade to another MediaCento HX 1 x 4 Transmitter for additional screen output. (A cascadable MediaCento HX Receiver is also available.)
The MediaCento HX system also has controls for minimizing skew and optimizing the signal over extended distances. You simply fine-tune the signal using a digital equalization control dial on the MediaCento HX Receiver.
The MediaCento HX supports high-quality sound, too. As part of the HDMI signal, it transmits 7.1-channel surround sound stereo audio.
