The two types of BONJET GRAPHIC MATT CANVAS are robust, stretchable fabrics made of acid-free polyester cotton blended weave (65%/35%). Versus pure cotton fabrics, poly cotton features a more regular structure and a better batch-to-batch consistency. Both fabrics have a 2/1 weave which gives higher robustness and flexibility than the usual plain-woven fabrics.
The neutral white canvas media are coated with a microporous, splash resistant inkjet receiving layer, delivering brilliant colors and good maximum density. They are elastic, kink resistant and easy to mount on stretcher frames without showing fractures in the coating. The back of the media have an unrefined appeal.
The media differ in their surface textures: whereas SMOOTH MATT CANVAS has a smooth surface with subtle structure only and is perfectly suited for photographic work (e.g. portraits), TEXTURED MATT CANVAS has a more defined, rougher weave which supports artistic work, landscape photography and reproductions of paintings.
Both types of canvas feel instantly dry after printing and are resistant against smearing and water splashes. They are fully compatible with all water based dye and pigmented inks commonly used in large format printers, as well as latex ink.
