With new privacy options, the Google Now launcher and optimised battery consumption by apps, Android Marshmallow brings a long list of improvements to your device. The app drawer is now ordered vertically and is searchable, making it easier to find your favourite apps. Sound and volume management is simpler and includes the Direct Share option, making sharing your content easier than ever.

The dimensions of the M5.5 have been carefully combined to achieve a fine balance between size, weight and autonomy. A 5.5" screen required a battery up to the task: 3620 mAh. Everything has been integrated perfectly into a device weighing 162 g, with only 8.35 mm thickness.
<b>Say goodbye to blurry pictures.</b>
We live life at full speed and you need a device that´s up to the task at any moment. That´s why we have integrated an optical image stabiliser (OIS) into the rear camera of the M5.5. The OIS corrects the position of the lenses to counterbalance the movement of the camera while the photo is being taken. It enables longer exposures to be taken, even in low light. The resulting pictures will be more luminous, with less noise.
<b>Sharper, more vivid colours.</b>
The Aquaris M5.5 camera includes a Samsung S5K3M2 sensor with ISOcell technology, which enhances the picture quality and reduces the crosstalk effect. The crosstalk phenomenon occurs when light impacts on more than one photoreceptor at the same time. The photoreceptors have been physically separated to reduce crosstalk and to enable colours to be captured with greater fidelity.
<b>Premium hardware for capturing your best moments.</b>
The 13 Mpx rear camera is equipped with f/2.0 and dual flash so that you can capture your best moments in spectacular quality, even under poor light conditions. Your selfies will turn out better than ever, thanks to a 5 Mpx front camera with flash, f/2.0 focal aperture and an 85º angle. You get all of this together with the new possibilities offered by BQ´s very own camera app: slow motion, time lapse and much, much more.
<b>An intelligent screen that adapts to the surrounding environment.</b>
The screen of your Aquaris M5.5 adapts to the ambient light conditions, thanks to Assertive Display technology and the ambient light sensor. The brightness and colour of each pixel automatically adjusts to the ambient light conditions to achieve optimum visibility at all times. The efficiency of this mechanism also reduces the energy consumption of the screen by up to 30%.
<b>The screen: much more than meets than eye.</b>
One Glass Solution, a technology which eliminates the space between the glass and the screen, resulting in a greater feeling of proximity and sense of reality in what you see with your Aquaris M5.5. The Full HD screen is equipped with Dragontrail protection, a layer of reinforced alkali-aluminosilicate which provides resistance against impacts and scratches. An Atmel® maXTouch® controller chip ensures that it remains touch-sensitive even in damp environments and when wearing gloves.

A Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 615 Octa Core processor up to 1.5 GHz, with Cortex A53 ARMv8 architecture is synonymous with high performance and great multi-tasking efficiency. Get even better results with efficient battery usage. What´s more, we have optimised how the image is generated on screen, thanks to the command mode function.
<b>Experience surround sound.</b>
Enjoy extraordinary audio quality thanks to the combination of the sound box and Dolby Atmos, a 3D sound technology. The sound is processed using special algorithms to create a surround sound effect. This technology creates the sensation of being truly surrounded by multiple sources of sound. What´s more, to make conversations even sharper, we have included a noise cancellation system with an extra microphone.
