Using a mixture of carbon and ion exchange resin, the BRITA filter removes hardness, chlorine, heavy metals and other organic impurities from your water to improve its taste, smell and appearance. The VKJ594 includes a 100% recyclable BRITA Maxtra Cartridge and has a memo which will indicate when the cartridge needs replacing.
