USB 3.0 transfers data at rates more than ten times that of USB 2.0 (5Gbps* vs. 480Mbps). This speeds up backup and transfer of photos, music, videos, documents, and other important data. The faster transfer rate also improves the performance of scanners, media players, and other peripheral devices supporting USB 3.0.
<b>Faster sequential reads</b>
This adapter’s USB 3.0 achieves 5.5 times faster sequential reads than USB 2.0, boosting speeds from 33.2MB/s to 185.3MB/s. This adapter also achieves 10% faster sequential reads than available with the previous ExpressCard IFC-EC2U3/UC (from 158.7Mbps to 185.3Mbps).
