The Scorpion works with virtually any camera. In this setup we have mounted a GoPro Hero and a Tascam Field Recorder with a microphone. The Scorpion is a must have if you are trying to film any kind of action shot with a small camera like the GoPro Hero.
This is the first legit way to film a line with your iPhone. Using the iPro Lens Kit from Century Optics we mounted the iPhone 4 to the Scorpion with a 180 degree fisheye lens.
The Scorpion is an extremely versatile camera handle and support system. When switching from follow filming to a DLSR Cage, you can easily rotate your accessories to match the setup. The Accessory shoe is designed to ensure that all of your gear can be quickly attached and reconfigured any way you like. In this set we have used (2) Accessory Shoes to attach the External Monitor & Microphone.
This configuration uses the additional weight of the monitor to help displace the weight of the camera. By setting up the Scorpion in this fashion you can use easily make camera moves that look like they where shot on a Professional Camera Stabilizer or Jib Arm. In this setup we have combined the Acc Shoe and Wing, then mounted a LED Light and a Shotgun Microphone. To Complete the Flyer Setup you will need (1) additional Accessory Shoe and a monitor mounted in the rear.
