Camalapse 3
The camalapse 3 can help create panning time-lapse videos or steady panoramic images with ultra compact digital cameras and smart phones. Capture up to 360°/60 min of pictures or video with the camalapse 3. Get cool B-roll footage by setting up your GoPro, Drift, Contour, smart phone or other ultra-compact digital cameras on the camalapse 3, and capture up to 360-degrees of footage over an hour of time (camalapse 3 pans counterclockwise).
- Panning: Right to left only. 360°/60 min or less.
- Weight: 2.4 ounces.
- Size: 2.5in x 2.5in x 2in.
- Externals: Metal-threaded tripod adapters, top and bottom. Plastic enclosure.
- Internals: Metal and plastic internal timing mechanism.
- Uses: Water resistant but not water proof. Not suitable for use on moving objects.
- Compatibility: Cameras less than 16 oz / 450 g / 1 lb and most smart phones (tripod adapter and software may be required). Not suitable for DSLR cameras.
<b>Instructions:</b>
Simply attach your camera to the top of the camalapse 3 via a tripod adapter (if necessary) and either attach the camalapse 3 to a tripod or set on a low/flat/stable surface. Point your camera where you would like the video to end. While firmly holding the bottom half of the camalapse 3, twist the top portion of the camalapse 3 to the right so that the camera is pointed towards your starting point. Click record or start your built-in intervalometer on your camera and you are all set. (tripod, camera and tripod adapter not included - shown in pictures for example only.
<b>Tips:</b>
You can achieve clockwise panning by hanging the camalapse 3 upside down or reversing footage in your software.
Stack 2 together for faster and more rotations. 720°/60min or 360°/30min.
<b>Notes:</b>
Due to the weight/balance and location of the tripod mounts on various cameras, we can't recommend the camalapse 3 for all cameras. However, you might find that if your camera is small, lightweight (less than 16oz/450g/1lb) and fairly center balanced, the camalapse 3 may work for your particular camera. Not suitable for DSLR’s.
