They are ideal for home-office networks and, in conjunction with MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) equipment, provide economical home access to centrally or metro-supplied Ethernet services. Available with a variety of multi-media interfaces to provide 10/100BASE fiber and copper connections means that fiber cabling can be directly supplied to the home giving the user great speed and bandwidth for his personal local area network.

SNMP Management ready, the CMX-4011/4012 family enables network managers to remotely monitor networked connections quickly and easily via the RJ-45 and Fiber, (in-band) or RS-232 (out-of-band) ports that are linked to the 'master' management application. Using single-mode or Extended Reach single-mode connectors, they can extend enterprise LAN management and configuration to a range of 60 km. The CMX-4011/4012 family is designed to be 'plug-an-go.
