With the first case from our “X”-series, we offer you a solid and well equipped midi tower for an outstanding value-for-money.
The case is characterized by a stable and high quality processed steel chassis - folded and deburred edges protect against cuts during the installation of the hardware. Visually, the black lacquering that covers the entire exterior is dominating. Playful lighting effects and ornate design elements are completely omitted.
Two external 5.25 inch bays are available. The drive bays are equipped with flip-down cover. This maintains a uniform color appearance even when using a different colored optical drive. It can be used with all conventional drives with tray.
In the upper part of the case, two internal 5.25 inch drive bays and a single 3.5 inch bay are located. In the lower part, up to five hard disk drives can be installed. The installation of the drives is done by means of screws.
The motherboard tray offers a generous opening for the mounting of CPU-coolers with bolt-thru kit, when the motherboard is already installed. CPU coolers can thus be changed without disassembling the motherboard first.
In the lower area of the front panel are easily accessible ports for 2 x USB 2.0 and the mandatory audio-ports. Appropriate peripheral devices can be connected quickly and easily from the front.
The ventilation system has been optimized by us. Therefore, the front offers an air inlet with a dust filter. A 92 or 120 mm fan can be installed at the rear of the case; the same applies to the rear of the case bottom. In order to improve the ventilation of the hard disk drives, you may install an 80 mm fan under the drives – thus effectively reducing the number of available bays to four.
By the supply of fresh air through the bottom fan and the removal of heated air with a 120 mm fan on the rear, you may realize a very effective ventilation of your system. Also significantly contributing to this is the generously dimensioned air hole in the left side panel of the tower.
The X1 is designed for standard ATX power supplies. You can install both ATX as well as Micro-ATX motherboards.
