The DHP-W221AV PowerLine AV Wireless N150 Mini Starter Kit is an entry level Powerline starter kit featuring a DHP-208AV PowerLine AV Mini Adapter and a DHP-W220AV PowerLine AV Wireless N150 Mini Extender. These adapters are compliant with the HomePlug AV standard, using your home’s existing electrical wiring to create a network or extend your existing network. Each adapter turns any power outlet into a network access point, letting you connect digital media devices, game consoles, print servers, computers, and network storage devices throughout your home, without the need for installing wiring.

The DHP-W221AV features Zero Configuration for easy plug-and-play installation so you can extend your wired and wireless network quickly. A D-Link exclusive, Clone My Wi-Fi technology lets you copy your existing network settings to your Powerline network easily and painlessly. Then simply press the Simple Connect button and your Powerline network will be set up and ready for use with other network devices. Then press the WPS button to connect your mobile devices and PCs wirelessly while solid security features such as industry-standard 128-bit AES
and WEP/WPA/WPA2 encryption protects your Powerline wireless network from intrusion.

The DHP-W221AV’s adapters feature HomePlug AV technology, enabling them to deliver data at speeds up to 200 Mbps over electrical wiring, providing ample bandwidth for today’s demanding multimedia applications. In addition, 802.11n wireless technology lets you connect wirelessly to your network at speeds up to 150 Mbps. Create a complete network capable of media streaming and file sharing, all using your home’s existing electrical wiring.

The DHP-W221AV incorporates a power-saving mode to reduce energy consumption when the network is not is use.
