The instrument mode has a high impedance which makes it possible to connect an instrument with high output impedances, like an electric guitar or acoustical guitars with a piezo-ceramic pick-up element. But this mode also allows you to connect electric devices with an unbalanced output like keyboards or Dj mixers without balanced outputs. The RCA input is ideal for these kind of setups. It also has a speaker mode which allows you to connect guitar amplifiers direct with the SDI-202. The SDI-202 balanced outputs will give a clean signal at a low level which makes long runs of cable possible. The SDI-202 will provide an even frequency response on any input signal connected with the benefit of cancellation of interference, hums and buzzes.
