AccelePort Xem Universal PCI (3.3V & 5V) Low Profile 8-port RS-232 w/ RJ-45 concentrator The AccelePort Xem asynchronous concentrator is an expandable, modular and intelligent serial communication solution designed specifically for small to mid-size multi-user installations. It is especially well-suited to applications that are expected to start small and grow over time, to as many as 64 ports.

This flexible system features a host adapter with an on-board RISC processor that allows you to connect up to 64 RS-232 or RS-422 serial ports to a PCI or PCI-X-based system. The result is a fast, reliable way to connect terminals, printers, modems, instruments and other serial peripherals, making it ideal for applications such as data acquisition, office/factory automation, and industrial process control.
