Digicom VoiceGate H.323 ADSL

VoiceGate H.323 ADSL Data and Voice finally in a sole device: VoiceGATE.
VoiceGATE H.323 divides into two main families:
- VoiceGATE (FXS), to connect some telephones or to connect them to the PABX incoming lines and
- VoiceGATE Gateway FXO, that can be connected to the PABX extensions or directly to the lines of the telecom operators.

VoiceGATE H.323 ADSL has been projected to be used in several applications: by the new telecom operators or in SOHO environments, according to the most suitable version.
VoiceGATE H.323 ADSL integrates the Router function and is the ideal solution to connect the branch offices to the main company via Internet. In the remote site VoiceGATE H.323 can be used as a PABX.

The new hardware platform, developed in the Digicom labs and used for both versions (H.323 and SIP), guarantees reliability and even better performances, besides the possibility of carrying out custom versions to satisfy the specific needs of the Telecom Operators and ISP. The choice of a new hardware, common to both VoIP communication standards furthermore allows the maximum flexibility when moving from a protocol to another. In fact, it will be possible to transform the VoiceGATEs installed on a H.323 based architecture into devices operation with SIP protocol.
The main features of the new hardware platform are the following:
- New micro-Controller ARM 9 for higher performances
- New built-in Ethernet switch with MDI/MDI-x functionalities
- Increase of the Flash and RAM capacity to offer more possibilities of firmware customization and new implementations
- USB interface for the connection of a LAN PC (in addition to the Ethernet switch ports)
- New plastic chassis design
