The EnGenius EIR900 is a 450+450Mbps Dual-Band Wireless-N 900 Media Router with Gigabit and USB ports for maximizing home entertainment and home office connectivity.
The EnGenius EIR900 is a Dual-Band (2.4 + 5GHz) Wireless-N 900 Media Router with wireless speeds up to 900Mbps with both frequency bands. This intelligent, high-bandwidth router includes a built-in 4-Port Gigabit switch and Gigabit WAN port for faster upload and downloads to and from the Internet. Entertainment components such as Blu-ray players, DVRs, set top boxes, game consoles and HDTVs can be quickly and effortlessly connected to the EIR900’s Gigabit ports or wirelessly connected over its 2.4 or 5GHz frequency bands. Thus, the EIR900 enables users to expand and enrich their home entertainment experience by allowing these entertainment components to access the growing number of free and subscription-based online entertainment services available from the Internet.
Engineered and Optimized for HD Media
While the EIR900 is engineered to serve the demanding needs of media-active families who download and stream HD video, music or play online games it’s also Network Attached Storage platform engineered for media sharing and streaming within the home by simply attaching one or two USB hard drives to either or both of its two USB2.0 ports. Once attached, video and music content can be streamed to any DLNA-supported device. This innovative router includes an optimized QoS (Quality of Service) engine that prioritizes media and other bandwidth-intensive content not only within the home but also media traffic from a home’s Internet connection.
