What’s the advantage of flow-based switching? You benefit from granular, firewall-like control of access, authentication, authorization, bandwidth, protocols, applications and users. Visibility is extended beyond the port or the VLAN to the individual conversation. Role-based policy control is extended to hundreds of downstream users or devices attached to third-party networking equipment, wireless infrastructure or VPN concentrators. It is all based on an open architecture built using industry-standards for multi-vendor interoperability to protect your investments.
The Matrix N Standalone inspects and classifies incoming traffic; makes L2/L3/L4 forwarding decisions; enforces security and QoS policies; discovers attached voice/video/data users, applications and devices; and authenticates them using 802.1x, Web and/or MAC multi-user authentication simultaneously on every interface.
