Madam Solo coffee pot
In connection with Eva Solo’s centenary anniversary, we are launching Madam Solo, a modern take on the iconic Danish coffee pot, Madam Blue. The coffee pot enables you to brew coffee in two different ways. Either the traditional way using a coffee filter, or ‘al fresco’, which is how coffee was originally brewed. This latter method, which is known from the CafeSolo coffee-maker, simply involves adding hot water to ground coffee beans. The coffee pot is made of porcelain with a drip-free silicone spout. The lid is also made of silicone, while the handle is stainless steel. Volume: 1.2 l. Launch early Maj 2013
ABOUT COFFEE
The first cup of coffee was brewed by Ethiopian herdsmen in 100BC. The brewing method was simple - boiling water added to crushed coffee beans. Since then the hot drink has been handed over from generation to generation and made it one of the most popular drinks in many peoples life.
The taste of coffee consists of more than 100 substances that are formed through the various steps in the coffee production. From growing the coffee tree, aftercare of the coffee berries, roasting and grinding the beans and brewing the coffee. Coffee is a complex drink, but also a simple ingredient in cosy moments. Our coffee products are all functional designs that makes the coffee moments easy and enjoyable. It must never be hard to brew and serve good tasty coffee.
EVA SOLO - ONE PHILOSOPHY, 100 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Since 1913 we have worked from the same design philosophy: always try to challenge the dominant logic and explore new possibilities. This has made Eva Solo into a brand that stands for quality, functionality and innovative products for the home.
We want every single product to be based on an excellent idea that enhances the modern home. We are not interested in design for the sake of design, or in developing products which perform the same functions as so many others. We are thereby writing ourselves into the Scandinavian design tradition. In our view this tradition is not about a particular look or style, but a tradition established by architects and engineers who created a string of classic products by pushing the boundaries in terms of materials, production methods, functionality and aesthetics.
