Extron SW2 DVI A Plus

Two Input DVI Switcher w/Stereo Audio The Extron SW DVI Plus Series are two, four, and eight input single link DVI switchers, available with or without stereo audio switching. They are compatible with PC resolutions up to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K. They feature EDID Minder®, which maintains continuous EDID communication with connected devices and ensures that the DVI sources power up properly and maintain correct video output. The switchers ensure signal integrity by equalizing and regenerating the incoming signal. The SW DVI Plus Series switchers are ideal for applications that require the routing of multiple DVI sources to a single display.

The SW DVI Plus Series offers integrator-friendly features, including input cable equalization, signal regeneration, and peripheral device powering. Selectable cable equalization for each input via front panel switches reduces the need for additional signal conditioning equipment by compensating for signal loss when using long input cable assemblies. DVI signals are retimed and regenerated to eliminate noise and reduce jitter for a strong, stable digital signal. +5 VDC, 250 mA power provided on the DVI output powers peripheral devices such as a DVI 101 cable equalizer.

Convenient control options, including front panel, RS-232, IR, and auto-input switching, allow for easy integration into a variety of environments. All SW DVI Plus Series switchers are housed in rack-mountable 1U enclosures.

Equalization is independently selectable for each input via the front panel switches.
- Retimes and reshapes marginal or noisy DVI signals — Eliminates noise and reduces jitter from marginal DVI sources, or passive DVI couplers or wallplates in the signal path, ensuring a strong, stable digital signal.
- Source signal presence indication — LED indicators on the front panel provide real-time verification of signal presence for all inputs.
- Auto-input switching — Automatically switches to the highest-numbered input with an active video signal.
- Provides +5 VDC, 250 mA power on the DVI output for external peripheral devices
- Active audio buffering — Converts unbalanced audio signals to balanced audio signals, eliminating noise over long cable runs.
- Front panel security lockout — Prevents unauthorized use in non-secure environments. In lockout mode, a special button combination is required to operate the switcher from the front panel.
