You've got the screen - use it! WinTV is a single slot PCI card with an analogue TV tuner, a high quality audio decoder (based on "Nicam stereo") and an FM radio receiver. Install the WinTV card in your PC and you're ready to watch TV in a resizable window, right on your PC screen!
WinTV offers features usually only seen on high-end television sets, like channel surf mode. And it goes further! Snap and print video images from whatever you're watching. Or record video clips from your camcorder or off the air. With Hauppauge's SnapShot function, you can capture still video images in high resolution modes to 1600x1200 pixels! Plus with WinTV2000, you can capture video movies in Microsoft's AVI file format for use in web pages or to create your own high-impact multimedia presentations.
WinTV digitizes video using pro quality 4:2:2 video sampling. The digitized TV image is sent directly into the memory of your PC's VGA card without creating overhead for the CPU. So you can work on applications while simultaneously watching TV in a resizable window. WinTV works with any PCI or AGP VGA graphics adapter which supports Windows Direct Draw.
Make MPEG digital video recordings with our new SoftPVR™. SoftPVR uses your PC's processor to digitally record your videos to disk in MPEG or DivX® formats. Record from live TV or from external video, schedule your TV recordings with our WinTV-Schedule, and then use your PC´s CD-RW burner to create VideoCD's*, with up to one hour of video. SoftPVR recordings are compatible with Hauppauge's MediaMVP"!, so you can watch your SoftPVR recordings on your TV set!
Note: SoftPVR requires a 733MHz Pentium PC or faster for MPEG recording, and a 1.8Gigahertz Pentium PC or faster for DivX recording.
Entertainment: The Hauppauge WinTV application has exclusive features like “channel surf”, “no-title mode” and “always-on-top mode”, making WinTV easy and fun to use!
