Zoom ADSL X6 125 Mbps Wireless-G Modem/Router with QoS
The Zoom ADSL X6 is perfect for optimising on-line gaming with Fastlane QoS (Quality of Service) guaranteeing upstream bandwidth for high priority devices like gaming systems which prevents ‘lagging’ with on-line game play or poor voice links with other gamers.
Zoom FastLane QoS lets you decide, for instance, that your XBOX 360 will have highest priority and a certain guaranteed bandwidth and that a VoIP device will have medium priority and all other devices on your network will have the lowest priority. On-line gamers win more often, phone calls over the Internet sound better, and Internet browsing is faster, even when a teenager’s multimedia library is in hot demand.
Zoom FastLane QoS is different because we’ve made it EASY for anyone to SET UP. The user can assign each port a priority of High, Medium, or Standard. The user can even assign a certain amount of the total bandwidth to the High and Medium priority ports. If those devices are not in use or if they are not using all of the allocated bandwidth, the excess bandwidth remains available to other devices on the network ensuring everyone stays happy.
In addition the X6 includes an extensive range of networking and Internet access features in a surprisingly affordable product. Advanced security features protect sensitive data, set up and management are extraordinarily easy with Zoom’s Install Wizard and wireless connections are made with superior range and speed. Both ADSL 2/2+ protocols are supported and automatically negotiated to ensure easy installation and a long and useful product life.
An Installation Wizard makes setup a snap, with an auto configuration option that will automatically configure the DSL settings used by your service provider.
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) provides easy Local Area Networking configuration and operation The Model 5590CF makes it easy to provide multiple levels of guaranteed upstream bandwidth for prioritized devices.
The 802.11g wireless access point provides flexible networking with freedom to roam. With Zoom 125 Speed Booster, wireless data rates can reach 125 Mbps*.
Wireless security meets Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2) standards as well as Wired Equivalency Protection (WEP). Other advanced wireless features include Wireless Distribution System (WDS) to support wireless repeaters/range extenders, and Wireless Multimedia Extensions (WME) to provide Quality of Service (QoS) for Voice over IP and other applications.
