Committed Services is a new offering available in the Enterprise Services and ServiceSuite portfolio, enabling clients to enhance their base hardware warranty and maintenance support offerings with contractually committed service levels. Committed Services moves hardware support to a higher level, truly supporting high availability system requirements. It is a standard contract commitment that enables IBM clients to buy a comprehensive technical support service which will deliver timely and efficient problem resolution from a range of predefined services levels for a wide range of IBM hardware.

Committed Services options are priced using a predefined uplift to the base maintenance charge. Customers may obtain further information on Committed Services options pricing, by contacting their IBM Account Manager or Business Partner.

Committed Services for IBM Hardware Warranty and Maintenance

Enhanced hardware support
Committed Services is a new premium service offering, which significantly enhances IBM hardware support.
IBM’s standard base maintenance contract and product warranty service provides a repair service which is based on a target service level for response. Committed Services provides a formal contractual commitment to deliver responsive and efficient problem resolution with a selection of predefined service levels, including ‘committed fix times’ for a wide range of IBM hardware.
Committed Services interlocks with other key premium service offerings options, such as Software Maintenance and Enhanced Technical Support to provide total support across the IT infrastructure.
