iMcV-LIM: 10/100 Mbps Autosensing UTP to Fiber
Modular iMcV-LIM 10/100 SNMP-manageable converters perform a 10 Mbps UTP to fiber conversion today - and a 100 Mbps UTP to fiber conversion tomorrow!
This unique, autosensing converter is a perfect solution for for providing a migration path from Ethernet to Fast Ethernet over fiber. While converting 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps twisted pair network segments to fiber, the dual-speed 10/100 converters automatically adapt to speed without user intervention or visits to remote locations. iMcV-LIM 10/100 series converters support multi-mode, single-mode and single-strand fiber types and popular ST, SC and MT-RJ connector types.
iMcV-LIM 10/100 series modules are easy to configure and manage with the GUI-based iView² SNMP management application, or with any other SNMP application such as HP OpenView™. iView² software features an easy-to-use and intuitive Graphical User Interface that enables the configuring, monitoring and managing of installed media modules from a central location. Via iView² network managers can receive real-time unit and port status information, as well as configure individual modules for various features and settings.
iView² also includes automatic updates for software and device firmware, and event/trap management for IMC Networks' and other manufacturers' devices installed in the network. iView² runs standalone on Windows NT/XP/2000; as a standalone Java Application for other operating systems; as a plug-in module for HP OpenView; as a Web Server running under IIS or as a Java Web Servlet.
