The MIMO Wireless Turbo G Router is a fully featured cost-effective IP sharing router that enables multiple users to share the Internet through an ADSL or cable modem. Simply configure your Internet connection settings, plug your PC into one of the four built in LAN ports, and begin sharing files and accessing the Internet. As your network grows, you can connect additional equipment to the remaining LAN ports, allowing you to easily expand your network.
Improved Connectivity
The MIMO Wireless Turbo G Router utilizes MIMO (multiple in multiple out) antenna technology to optimize the range and connectivity of your wireless network. Two antennas are used for signal reception, and a third one is used for high power signal transmission, effectively eliminating dead spots and automatically adjusting for interference such as cordless phone users, etc. Customers using MIMO technology can typically expect to increase the range of their wireless network connections 10 times the distance of standard wireless G products1.
Increased Throughput
This router is capable of utilizing the Turbo Mode feature to provide higher data throughput than the IEEE 802.11g standard. Turbo G mode is turned on automatically when connecting users with the Wireless Turbo G with MIMO PC Card or the Wireless Turbo G with MIMO PCI Card and can increase the actual throughput for your wireless network users from 20 Mbps to 35 Mbps2.
Quality of Service (QoS)
QoS allows you control the amount of bandwidth available to a certain IP address, IP address range and TCP/IP port range. Using QoS you can guarantee a specific amount of bandwidth for mission critical applications (such as VoIP) and limit the maximum bandwidth usage of other applications. QoS allows you to manage the available Internet bandwidth by prioritizing the applications that use it.
