Joey Dunlop hailed from Northern Ireland and was voted the fifth greatest motorcycling icon ever. His achievements include 26 champion races at the Isle of Man TT, winning the Ulster Grand Prix 24 times and in 1986 winning his fifth consecutive TT Formula One world title. He was awarded an MBE in 1986 for his services to the sport and in 1996 he was awarded the OBE for his humanitarian work.
