The KE7100 LANcheck is the light version of the top of the line model KE7200 Ethernet Performance Tester and is an easy-to-use tool for verification and troubleshooting in small and big networks.
Wire mapping including fault location and detection of split pairs, TDR length measurement and Power over Ethernet Test.
KE7100 tests for wire continuity, opens, shorts, miswires and split pairs and shows test results on the easy to read graphical display with backlight. The length of the cable and distance to fault (short or open) is also shown by the KE7100.
The KE7100 can perform a Power over Ethernet Test (IEEE802.3af). KE7100 not only checks for ability of Power over Ethernet, it detects the type available and what power level is supported. PoE is appearing more commonly as devices like wireless access points (WAP), IP cameras and IP telephones grow in popularity. Mismatches between equipment and power supply can cause a variety of problems.
