The highest levels of flexibility are assured because the AirLancer dualband wireless network adapters support the standards IEEE 802.11g/b/a/h for application in the 2.4- or 5-GHz bands. The 108-Mbps standard IEEE 802.11g is backwardly compatible to the widespread IEEE 802.11b standard, so offering the best possible connectivity in the office or for network coupling.
Alternatively, AirLancer MC-54ag and AirLancer PCI-54pro can also be operated with up to 108 Mbps according to IEEE 802.11a/h in the 5-Ghz band for extremely reliable and secure transmissions—even in medical environments.
Depending on the configuration, switching between the standards can be automated to provide immediate access to every user, whatever the situation.
Rapid logins to wireless hotspots don’t get any quicker and easier than this.
Enterprise WLAN.
The extras available with AirLancer client adapters make them especially practical in business settings. The AirLancer PCI-54pro and the AirLancer USB-54pro are equipped with connectors for external antennas which can be used to optimize wireless connections in a great variety of scenarios. Examples include connectivity for mobile computers in production environments, or interconnecting computers over long-distances by using directional antennas instead of additional access points.
By combining the access point LANCOM 3550 Wireless with the AirLancer MC-54ag as a second radio module, the data transfer capacities can be doubled or the current WLAN standards can be operated in parallel.
Professional security.
AirLancer client adapters support all of the security technologies in wireless LANs hosted by LANCOM Wireless access points, including IEEE 802.11i, 802.1x, WPA, WPA2, WEP64/128/152, Access Control Lists or LEPS (LANCOM Enhanced Passphrase Security). This enables optimized solutions to be configured, whatever the individual requirements. For example, Multi SSID allows the definition of up to 8 user groups, each with its own level of security.
