The ThinkPad Ultrabay Enhanced Blu-ray Burner option offers rewritable technology suitable for high-capacity data archiving or authoring and playback of high-definition video content. This new drive stores up to 25 GB of data on a Blu-ray Single Layer disc and up to 50 GB of data on a Blu-ray Dual Layer disc. It enables playback of high-definition Blu-ray Disc movie content and slides easily in and out of the Ultrabay slot found in ThinkPad R61 Series notebooks. This new burner supports read/write compatibility with multiple CD, DVD, and Blu-ray standard formats including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Double Layer, DVD-R Dual Layer media.
