9690SA-8I-KIT 8-Port Ext, 3Gb/s SATA+SAS, PCIe, 512MB The 3ware® 9690SA-8E SATA+SAS controller delivers accelerated 3Gb/s SAS performance, expanded connectivity and greater scalability due to compatibility with industry standard SAS expanders. Each 9690SA SAS controller scales to support 128 SAS and/or SATA devices. Users will also enjoy a unified RAID management interface and software suite which assures a picture perfect configuration experience with every 3ware controller, irrespective of its storage interface.

Advanced 3ware RAID architecture and new performance features rocket the 9690SA to RAID 5 and RAID 6 performance heights. With StreamFusion™+ firmware, 3ware’s advanced processes allow for optimized reads and writes in multi-stream environments and superior throughput even in degraded modes to provide a higher standard of data protection and performance. An optional battery gackup unit with integrated write journaling and remote battery mounting capability provides added data protection in the event of a power outage. The 3ware 9690SA-8E supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and single disk and has 8 external mini-SAS ports.
