These are the newly developed Imedion 2400 batteries. These batteries have all their predecessors great properties with an improved capacity.
The stored energy in rechargeable batteries reduces because of self-discharge. This is a inherent characteristic of all rechargeable batteries. Self-discharge causes batteries to have less charge than expected when actually put to use after some time on the shelf.
Maha has developed Imedion batteries, which feature a very low self-discharge rate. Imedion batteries retain 85% of charge after one year of storage.
Advantages of Imedion low self discharge batteries:
- Can be charged with any NiMH battery charger (use a high quality charger to get the maximum out of your batteries and maximize battery life).
- Can be used in all equipment which works with regular rechargeable batteries.
- Don't need to be charged just before use.
- Suitable for long-term intermittent or low-current use such as TV remotes and clocks.
- In many devices, run-times are as good or better than normal rechargeables that have higher rated capacity, because of slightly higher operating voltage.
- Very suitable for high energy requirement applications like camera flashes.
