780-AV, SD/HD, HDMI, YPbPr/ CVBS, RS 232, USB
The 780-AV can decode H.264 and MPEG-2 encoded network streams with synchronised video stream playout and also play locally stored video files from onboard memory, so that a combination of live streamed network video /audio and file based media can be displayed.
The 780-AV supports SD and HD output resolutions in both Digital (HDMI) and Analogue formats (YPbPr/ CVBS). In HD mode both HDMI and YPbPr operate simultaneously allowing a single 780-AV unit to support two screens. In addition, the 780-AV has an onboard rendering engine, providing the ability to display SD TV inputs at HD output resolutions. The unit can also display PowerPoint presentations (converted to HTML), JPEGs, PNGs and up to the minute webpages with its onboard Firefox browser.
A 780-AV can operate reliably on its own in "standalone" mode with configuration and channel setup from a central HTTP server or networked under the control of the MediaStar Media Manager software allowing play out of pre-programmed timelines of media content.
The 780-AV also offers 'super-smooth' ticker functionality. This feature allows users to configure a selection of RSS, Text or Clock type tickers to display up to the minute information and news, with the RSS ticker featuring both header and subject input. Any combination of the three ticker types can be used to create up to 10 tickers per ticker feed. Two ticker feeds are provided.
Infra red, RS 232 and USB connectivity enable local operation; display control; key board and mouse interaction; IP command pass through and external alarm audio mute. The unit will also email proof of play reports and send SNMP traps if required.
Available with multiple memory options and in both an HD or cost effective SD version (for later software upgrade) and with its maintenance free operation, small physical size, low power consumption and software future proofing, the 780-AV is ideally suited for both large scale distributed applications or simple single screen deployments. Please see model options below.
