Microsense MS410501 10Mbit/s network media converter

MS410501, RJ-45, 2x ST, Fast Ethernet, Black The MICROSENS 10Base-FL/10Base-T Media Converter permits the repeaterless connection of twisted pair cable (10Base-T) and optical fibre (10Base-FL) in an Ethernet network. The converter is compatible with IEEE 802.3

The direct connection enables the distance covered by existing twisted pair cable to be extended beyond the limit of 100 m

As a result of the repeaterless operation of the converter, a full regeneration of the signals does not take place.

It is therefore advisable to consider the applicability of the converter should these maximum distances be approached.
the repeaterless conversion between medias offers advantage of incuuring no further restrictions to maximum number repeaters which can be installed in a network.

Color coded LEDs indicate the state of the converter and can be used for error diagnostics.

The MICROSENS 10Base-FL/10Base-T Media Converter is available as insertion module for the modular 19“ Plug-in system.
