The XS708E provides 8 10G connectivity ports at a very affordable price comparing to the Enterprise switches in the marketplace. This impacts not only the large enterprises, but for Small and medium businesses as well since many SMBs are operating with big data even though the company size is small. The XS708E consists of 8 10G copper ports and one combo 10G Fiber SFP+ port. With 10GBased-T, customers can use the standard RJ45 Ethernet jack and the Cat6 or 7 copper cable that are already been widely used in their current network. The network speed can be improved 10x into 10Gigabit from Gigabit with minimum network changes and upgrades.
The XS708E belongs to NETGEAR’s ProSafe Plus Switch Product family. So, on top of the plug-N-play 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, it also offers some fundamental network features that will help optimize the performance of business networks such as VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping, Port trunking and rate limiting, traffic monitoring.
