This unique design utilizes elegant installer friendly inserts and wall plates. All connectors are gold plated for maximum conductivity and long life. Connecting speaker cable is easy and flexible. You can use bare wire or banana plugs, which are easier if you need to connect and disconnect on a regular basis. These units take up to 12-gauge wire but most folks use Banana plugs which are rated at 8 to 16 gauge. The red terminals are the positive terminals and the black are the negative terminals.
