The cost-effective PT1945S 19” touchscreen monitor is perfect for use in retail, point-of-sale, gov/ed, healthcare and kiosk applications. Easily integrated with a variety of POS, thin client or PC systems, the touch LCD features a SAW (surface acoustic wave) touch screen with dual RS-232/USB touchscreen interface, an internal power supply, speakers and a designed for touch enclosure. No drivers are needed for basic touchscreen operation, but for advanced features, drivers are quickly loaded using the easy to follow, step-by-step instructions. The touchscreen monitor comes standard with a deskstand capable of -5 to 90° tilt range, but is also compatible with other mounting options using the 100 mm VESA standard hole pattern on the back of the monitor.
SAW touch screens are made of pure glass and offers superior image clarity, resolution and high light transmission. Because of the glass construction, the touch screen continues to work even if scratched. Unlike resistive touchscreen technology, SAW is more durable and typically has a longer life. Unlike capacitive touchscreen technology, the user may use a finger, gloved hand or soft stylus to activate the SAW touch screen.
