The star is battery powered and has built-in timer function. The Sirius lights turns off automatically after 6 hours, if you set it on timer-funktion. After 18 hours, the lights turns, and this will continue if you do not use "off " button. The batteries are stored in a nice metal holder, which is part of the beautiful decoration.
