<b>Hybrid Plus Technology – Record HD video to 8GB Flash, Disc or Memory Stick!</b>
HDRUX20 Gives you the choice of three recording mediums! Record High Definition 1920 x 1080i video direct to internal 8GB Flash memory (or Memory Stick) and then export the final movie to AVCHD Disc.. in camera! Using HD Long Play (1440x1080i) you can record up to 3 hours of footage to the internal flash memory, reducing the need for other media.
<b>Face Detection</b>
Face Detection technology ensures that family and friends captured with HDRUX20 are always shown at their best! When the camera detects a human face it automatically adjusts focus, colour control and brightness to ensure that faces are always clear and sharp. Face Detection also works in group shots, with up to 8 faces being tracked at once.
<b>Zoom Microphone</b>
The built in Zoom Microphone automatically "zooms" the lens and microphone at the same time. Zooming in on one person in a large crowd will increase the cameras sensitivity to their voice, while other sounds will not be as prominent. The Zoom Microphone closely resembles the natural human experience, where moving closer to a particular object increases the sensitivity to the sound coming from that location.
<b>Quick On</b>
Pressing the "Quick On" button enables "Stand By" mode – perfect for conserving battery power during shooting down time. Simply pressing "Quick on" again will wake the camera up, and let you start shooting in only 1 sec!
<b>Film Roll Index and Face Index</b>
By enabling Film Roll Index it is possible to preview the beginning of scenes and create scene indexes set at specified display intervals (3, 6, or 12 seconds and 1 or 5 minutes) – perfect for seeing what was recorded in a long take. This Handycam also features Face Index, allowing you to begin playing scenes simply by pressing the human faces detected during shooting.
<b>4.0 Mega Pixel Still Image Capture</b>
HDRUX20 allows you to capture high quality 4.0 Mega Pixel still images when in dedicated still mode – with flash and red eye reduction! You can also record a 3.0 Mega Pixel still image at the same time as recording full motion video.
